Frederick H. Kopko, Jr., a Partner of the firm’s Chicago office, practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, commodities, and corporate law. A member of the Chicago Bar Association, Phi Beta Kappa, and the National Futures Association, Mr. Kopko serves on the boards of a number of publicly traded companies where he has been involved in cases concerning going-private transactions, institutional debt financing, corporate governance issues, the issuances of equity and debt securities, and stock and asset purchase and sales transactions.
A 1977 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Connecticut, Mr. Kopko received his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame in 1980 and an M.B.A., with high honors, from the University of Chicago in 1995.
He was an Associate Editor of the Notre Dame Law Review and has authored a number of papers dealing with securities law.
